An invitation to stillness
I was looking for a way to simplify.
To get deeper into colors, layers and atmosphere – as a dialogue with the seasonal changes.
That’s when I started to make those color moods.
With dry pastels, pigment and paper and my bare hands
This way of working has then become a meditative practice, an entry to stillness and exploration that has me fully absorbed.
A concentrate of decades of painting.
Long before art school.
I already had a deep interest in colors and the atmosphere of places.
The atmosphere of the room. Or the atmosphere between two people.
Or outside, in nature.
To see into, out and beyond.
My paintings through the years have been big and often figurative.
With a story coming forth embedded in the atmosphere.
This collection of paintings are quiet.
No stories are coming forth
Instead
There is an entry to stillness
Through colors and atmosphere
For you
For your home
or for your office
